Physical Therapist or Licensed Athletic Trainer
We’re looking for a full-time Physical Therapist / Licensed Athletic Trainer / Strength Coach to join our team and help our clients move better, feel stronger, and stay consistent with their goals. You’ll work one-on-one with clients in our private training studio at 50 Cove St in Portland, ME
This role is a fit for someone who is kind, and genuinely enjoys the process of getting to know people, their history, and their goals. You must be curious and interested in constant learning and professional growth. We offer a collaborative atmosphere where humility and genuine concern for client care is paramount.
What You’ll Do
- Help clients navigate complex chronic injuries and pain issues
- Design and deliver customized rehab and exercise programs for active adults and seniors
- Track progress and adjust programming as clients build strength and resolve movement limitations
- Provide the accountability, encouragement, and expertise that keeps clients coming back
- Collaborate with our team of physical therapists, personal trainers, and fitness rehab specialists to make sure each client gets a well-rounded, coordinated approach
- Work alongside Maine’s most qualified continuum of fitness and rehab professionals
- Be part of a team known for compassion, curiosity, and going above and beyond for clients
- Full-time schedule (approx. 30-32 client hrs/ week) that prioritizes a work /life balance
- A supportive, low-ego team culture built around continuous learning
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy or Licensed Athletic Trainer
- Postural Restoration Institute education preferred
- Experience working with active adults and/or seniors
- A genuine interest in movement quality and posture, with a willingness to learn and take additional courses.
- Strong listening skills, reliable, timely, strong communication, professional, and comfortable building long-term relationships
- CPR/AED certification
